Bight
The bight (pronounced like "bite") refers to the curved part of a length of rope when folded. Most commonly it refers to the center of the rope when folded in half.
Working End
The working end of the rope is the part being manipulated while tying.
Tail
The tail refers to the part of the rope opposite the working end. Also called the standing end though less frequently in bondage.
